Shrek’s Swamp Stew

Ingredients
1 (32oz) carton 50% less sodium beef broth / 1 packet beef stew seasoning mix / 1 tbsp. all-purpose flour / 1 (16oz) bag frozen stew vegetables / 20 frozen homestyle meatballs / 4 sourdough bread rolls
Method
- In a large pot, pour in your beef broth, seasoning mix, and flour. Now whisk it all up, making sure there are no clumps.
- For this step, you’ll need some help from a grown-up. Heat the broth mixture until it starts boiling. Then, bring the heat down to simmer the broth until it thickens (this usually takes 5 minutes – perfect time for a snack!)
- Now, add your stew vegetables and meatballs to the broth, heating them until they’re cooked through and hot, about 5-7 minutes.
- Now for the fun part – making the bread bowls! With the help of a grow-up, cut the top off the sourdough bread rolls and scoop out the inside, leaving an inch of bread on all sides.
- Scoop 1 1⁄2 cups of stew into each bowl and serve hot!
